Watson Engine
Privacy Policy
Effective 16 August 2026. Applies to Watson Platform apps, including Watson Showcase, TV Explorer, FreeRM, and other apps that use a Watson account.
Who we are
Watson Engine is operated by David Bethune. Questions: david@watsonengine.io.
What we keep
- Account. If you sign in, we store a user ID and, if you provide them, your email, name, and profile photo. We also record which Watson apps you have used.
- TV Explorer. Favorites, hotbar, and settings stay in your browser. If you sign in, they sync to your Watson account so they work on other devices. We never store or analyze what you watch.
- FreeRM. Your contacts and notes live in your Google Contacts and Google Drive. We do not keep them on Watson servers. We keep only your Watson identity and whether your plan is free or paid.
- On your device. Apps may keep a local copy of settings in the browser so they load quickly.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party under any circumstances. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not track TV Explorer viewing activity.
Watson apps run on Google infrastructure for sign-in, hosting, and analytics. FreeRM, with your permission, uses Google Drive and Google Contacts so your CRM data stays in your Google account. Drive access is session-only; we do not store a refresh token on our servers.
Watson's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Analytics
We record a small set of anonymous usage events — for example opening an app, signing in, or pressing Start in TV Explorer. These events are not tied to your email or name. TV Explorer never includes channel names, categories, or viewing history.
Your choices
You can use some apps without an account. You can delete your Watson account, which removes the identity and app data we store. Data in your own Google Drive or Contacts remains yours to keep or delete. Deleting an account does not create a refund. See our Terms of Service.
